Welcome to the Wildflyer Coffee team page, home of an awesome team of bikers, coffee lovers and youth supporters doing a little something crazy to make a difference. This year, we’re taking on Powderhorn24, a community ride in South Minneapolis where our team will spend 24 hours furiously pedaling to end youth homelessness.
What is Wildflyer Coffee?
Wildflyer Coffee is a nonprofit coffee company that exists to create employment opportunities for youth experiencing homelessness and housing instability. We offer a comprehensive 9-month training program focused on helping youth learn the skills necessary to find stable employment and maintain independence after leaving homelessness.
Your pledges will go directly towards supporting our youth employees as they work and gain the skills needed to leave homelessness. Funding supports the cost of youth wages and the additional support they are given through weekly skills groups and employment check-ins. All donations are tax-deductible.
What is this race?
Powderhorn 24 is a legendary community ride through the Powderhorn Neighborhood in South Minneapolis. This year, it’s August 2nd-3rd starting at 7pm on Friday and ending at 7pm on Saturday. Some ride as part of a team, the diehards tackle it solo. The Wildflyer team is comprised of 12 radical souls committed to ending youth homelessness. Find us pictured below!
How does this work?
You pledge a specified dollar amount per lap completed using the form to your right. Then, you sit back while the rest of us wreck ourselves for 24 hours. After the race is done, we’ll email you our completed lap totals and what your corresponding donation amount is along with a donation button. We are estimating being able to complete a total of 70 laps collectively. Don’t feel like gambling on our athletic abilities? Feel free to pledge a flat-fee instead of per lap.
