Meet a Wildflyer Program Lead
Wildflyer Program Manager, Jupiter Goff, shares about some exciting changes we’ve implemented at Wildflyer:
In September 2024, Wildflyer expanded our team by introducing 3-4 Program Leads at each shop. Our Program Leads are skilled baristas themselves, however their primary focus is providing trauma-informed, inclusive coffee training, along with on-the-job support while working with individual cohort members.
Program Leads play a unique role in connecting the soft skills youth learn in our workshops with on-the-floor experiences at our cafes. Through intentional weekly check-ins and collaborative goal-setting, they walk with our cohort members through challenges and celebrations, both personally and professionally.
Wildflyer Program Leads have already made lasting impacts working with our 2024 Summer, Fall, and Winter Cohorts, expanding the support Wildflyer is able to provide and taking an individualized approach to employment training and youth work!
Below, we asked Minneapolis Program Lead Juliet (she/her/hers) to share a little about herself and what this new role has been like so far!
